Dendeng Batokok or Beaten Jerky

Besides Rendang, Dendeng Batokok ( Beaten Jerky) is a very popular traditional Minangkabau food. Dendeng Batokok is made from thinly sliced ​​beef and boiled with selected spices then beaten until the meat fibers soften and then fried. This jerky combined with chilli fried red / green chilies that is coarsely ground with special spices creates a sensation of a savory, spicy and sour taste combination on the tongue.
